Indian Council of Philosophical Research, an Autonomous Organization fully funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, invites applications for the following posts:
[1] Director (Academic) (01 post) – (UR)– Pay Band of (PB-3) Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs.7600. Age Limit – 50 years.

Essential Qualifications and Experience required:
(i) Scholar in Philosophy with a doctoral degree or equivalent research work or published work of high quality and active engagement in research.
(ii) 10 years’ experience of teaching or 10 years’ experience of research administration.

[2] Director (Administration & Finance) (01 post) – Pay Band of (PB-3) Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs.7600. Age - maximum 56 years on deputation and 50 years for direct recruitment.
Method of Recruitment : By transfer on deputation failing which by direct recruitment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience required for deputation :
(i) Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized university with good academic record.
(ii) Officer of Central or State Governments or Universities, Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies, Public Enterprises etc, in equivalent grade or at least with 5 years’ service in the grade of Rs.10,000-325-15,200 (pre-revised pay scale) and above and having experience of Administration and Finance.
Essential Qualifications and Experience required for direct recruitment:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University with a good academic record.
(ii) At least 10 years’ experience of Administration and Finance, out of which at least 5 years’ experience should be in a post not lower than the scale of pay of Rs.10,000-325-15,200 (pre-revised pay scale) in Central or State Governments or Universities, research institutes, autonomous bodies, public enterprises, etc.
[3] Assistant Librarian (01 post) – (UR) – Pay Band of (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200. Age Limit – 40 years, (relaxable by 5 years for employees in Central and State Governments, Universities & Autonomous Bodies)
Method of Recruitment: By Direct recruitment, failing which by transfer on deputation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience required:
(i) High Second class Master’s Degree & Degree in Library Science from a recognized University.
(ii) 5 years’ experience in some reputed Library/Documentation Centre
Place of Posting: Lucknow.
[4] Senior Stenographer (02 posts) – (1 UR & 1 OBC) - Pay Band of (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200. Age - 28 years, (relaxable by 5 years for employees of Central and State Governments, Universities and Autonomous Bodies).
Educational and other qualifications required : (i) A Bachelor’s Degree of a recognised University. (ii) A speed of 120 w.p.m./100w.p.m. & 40 w.p.m. in shorthand & typing respectively. Preference will be given to those possessing proficiency in Hindi Stenography.
Method of Recruitment: By transfer on deputation: Stenographers in Government Departments, Educational Institutions, Universities and Autonomous Bodies, etc. who hold analogous post or those in one Grade lower with 5 years’ service in the lower grade and who possess a speed of 100 w.p.m. & 40 w.p.m. in shorthand and typing respectively failing which by Direct Recruitment.

[5] Lower Division Clerk (02) – (1 ST & 1 UR), Pay Band of (PB-1) Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1900. Age – 28 years, (relaxable by 5 years for employees of Central and State Governments, Universities and Autonomous Bodies).
Method of Recruitment: By direct recruitment.
Essential Educational & other qualifications required for direct recruitment:
(i) 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
(ii) Typing Speed of 35 w.p.m. in English on computer.

[6] Staff Car Driver (01) – (OBC), Pay Band of (PB-1) Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1900. Age – 30 years, (relaxable by 5 years for employees of Central and State Governments, Universities and Autonomous Bodies).
Method of Recruitment: By direct recruitment.
Essential Educational & other qualifications required for direct recruitment:
(i) 10th Class or equivalent or ITI.
(ii) Should possess a valid driving licence for motor car
(iii) Experience of driving motor car at least 2 years’.

[7] Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) (2) – (OBC), Pay Band of (PB-1) Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1800. Age – 25 years, (relaxable by 5 years for employees of Central and State Governments, Universities and Autonomous Bodies).
Method of Recruitment: By direct recruitment vacancy at New Delhi/Lucknow.
Educational & other qualifications required:
Essential : Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
1. Number of posts is tentative, may vary and Council reserves the right to increase or decrease number of posts and may or may not fill any post(s).
2. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum and mere possession and fulfilment of the essential and desirable qualifications for a post does not entitle the candidate to be called for interview/ test.
3. Application must be neatly typewritten on A-4 size paper in the prescribed Performa (Annexure-I). The Performa can also be downloaded through the website www.icpr.in
4. One recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the top right hand corner of the application and be signed by self across. Application without photograph will be treated as incomplete application.
5. Envelope containing application should be super-scribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ____________________________________________(Sl. No. _________ ).”
6. A candidate has to submit separate applications, if he/she desires to apply for more than one post.
7. The candidates short-listed for interview/ test will be informed by post, e-mail as well as notified in the Council’s website. The Council will not be responsible for any postal delay.
8. Original certificates should be produced only at the time of interview/test. However, attested photocopies of testimonials may also be attached with the application in support of their educational qualifications and experience etc.
9. Candidates may send an advance copy of application. However, advance application shall be entertained only when application through proper channel (Forwarding Authority) is received. It shall be necessary to furnish “No Objection Certificate” from the parent department/ present employer at the time of interview/test.
10. Applications received after expiry of the prescribed period and/or found to be incomplete in any manner or not submitted in prescribed proforma will not be entertained.
11. The decision of the Council in respect of selections shall be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Canvassing in any type from any source will disqualify the candidature of the applicant.
12. The Council reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.
13. The terms and conditions of deputation will be regulated in accordance with OMs/Orders issued by the Department of Personnel & Training and as amended from time to time.
14. Forwarding Authority is to ensure that the applications must be accompanied by ACRs for last five years, Integrity Certificate and Vigilance Certificate. In case of photocopies of A.C.R are sent, these may be attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary of the Government of India.
15. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
16. Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates shall be as per the Govt. rules.
