Openings for Laboratory Assistant-B (1 Pune, 1 Khodad), Tradesman-B (1 Pune).

The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute. NCRA–TIFR is located inside the Pune University Campus. Facilities operated by NCRA-TIFR include, the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). Located about 80 KM north of Pune, GMRT is the world’s largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths. NCRA is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

1. Laboratory Assistant-B (Electronics)
[1 Post, ST; HQ: Pune]
[TME: 22,923/-; PB-1: 5200-20200; GP: 2000]

Minimum Qualification: (i) SSC or equivalent (ii) ITI, (Electronics) with at least 60% marks.

Minimum Experience: Either (i) 2 years or (ii) NCTVT with 1 year in a reputed organization.

Nature of Job: Providing assistance in installation and maintenance of computer, network equipments, network wiring including identification and rectification of simple hardware faults.
Note : Candidates with Diploma, BE/B.Tech. or higher degrees will be overqualified and will not be considered for this post.

Age: Below 33 years (after relaxation) .

2. Laboratory Assistant-B (Electronics)

[1 Posts, SC; HQ: Khodad]

[TME: 22,731/-; PB-1: 5200-20200; GP: 2000]

Minimum Qualification: (i) SSC or equivalent (ii) ITI, (Electronics) with at least 60% marks.

Minimum Experience: Either (i) 2 years or (ii) NCTVT with 1 year in a reputed organization, SMD soldering experience preferred.

Job Requirement: RF & DC Circuit wiring, system integration, testing and installation.

Note: Candidates with Diploma, BE/B.Tech. or higher technical degrees will be over qualified and will not be considered for this post.

Age: Below 33 years (after relaxation).

3. Tradesman-B (Electrical)
[1 Post, OBC; HQ:Pune]

TME: 22,923/-; PB-1: 5200-20200, GP: 2000]

Minimum Qualifications: (a) 10th OR equivalent (b) ITI (Electrical) with minimum 60% marks. Candidates with “B” Electrical License Holder would be preferable.

Minimum Experience: Either (i) 2 years or (ii) NCTVT with 1 year in operation and maintenance of electrical systems in reputed organization.

Nature of Job: Maintenance of (a) electrical systems like HT/LT substation, DG sets, AMF panels, all distribution panels, underground cables, earth electrodes, all electrical appliances at labs and residence buildings, streetlight fittings, etc. (b) UPS systems, (c) EPABX systems and telephone lines.

Age: Below 31 years (after relaxation).
