BPCL, a Fortune 500 Company and a leading Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise with an all India presence, engaged in Exploration of Oil & Gas, Refining, Marketing and Distribution of Petroleum Products invites applications from young, energetic and bright Indian male candidates meeting the following eligibility criteria and other parameters for the indicative posts mentioned below in various identified Retail & LPG locations across the states in four Marketing Regions:

PAY & BENEFITS:

The selected candidate will be placed in entry level of Grade 1 in the pay scale of Rs. 9,250-20,000. In addition to Basic Pay, the appointed candidates will also be entitled for other benefits/allowances as applicable.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01.06.2016):

• Minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years as on 01.06.2016 for General candidates, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates against the indicative reserved posts.
• PWDs with degree of disability not less than 40% will be given age relaxation upto 10 years (upto 15 years for PWDs belonging to SC/ST category and upto 13 years for PWDs belonging to OBC category).
• Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 will be given age relaxation upto 5 years.
• Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen would be as per applicable Govt. guidelines.

	Post Qualification Experience (Desirable Criterion):
	·                        Minimum one year post qualification factory work experience in the relevant trade in Oil & Gas Industry/similar other Industry such as Petrochemical, Processing, Chemical, Power, Fertilizers, Gas Processing etc. ·                        Apprentice training under Apprenticeship Act, 1961 after 2 year regular full-time course of ITI will be considered as experience subject to production of National Apprenticeship certificate. ·                        Relevant work experience as General Workman/ Operator in any Oil Storage Depot/ Installation/Plant/such Units, handling Petroleum Products/ Lubricants, operating pipelines and pumps will be preferred.

Note:

• Qualification for the purpose of selection to the advertised post would mean the qualification on which candidature is offered/ considered as claimed by the candidate.
• Candidates possessing higher qualification such as Diploma/B.E./ B.Tech/ BSc. or similar/equivalent qualification, MBA/ MCA/ MSc. or similar/equivalent qualification need not apply. Suppression of information regarding possession or attainment of higher qualification shall render a candidate ineligible for consideration at any stage of selection and termination at any time during employment, if recruited.
• Only candidates who have completed ITI are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have obtained their qualification (ITI/NTC from NCVT) through the distance learning / part time and such mode are NOT eligible to apply.

SELECTION METHODOLOGY:

Selection methodology will comprise of two stages as detailed below:

STAGE 1 – Written Test

STAGE 2 – Skill Assessment & Physical Fitness Tests

Candidates qualifying in the written test as per the cut-off marks decided by the Corporation will be called for Skill Assessment Tests & Physical Fitness Tests. Skill Assessment Tests and Physical Fitness Tests shall be of ‘qualifying nature’ only. Only candidates qualifying in these tests would be reckoned for empanelment.

HOW TO APPLY:

Eligible candidates may apply online from 20th May’16 12:00 pm onwards to 6th June’16 end of day through the link available on www.bharatpetroleum.com>Careers. Candidates sponsored by Employment exchange also need to apply online through this link only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

Note:

• There is no application fee. All applicants should have a valid/active email id. Candidates are advised to keep the details and password of their e-mail id fully confidential and do not disclose the same to any other person. Corporation shall not be responsible for any consequences arising out of candidates disclosing their e-mail id related details to any other person.
• Candidates would also be required to upload passport size photograph of not more than 50 kb of file size while filling the application form and therefore before applying online

• candidates are advised to keep the soft copy of the photograph ready in the system for uploading the same when required in the application form.
• Before applying online, candidates are advised to go through detailed instructions related to the application process and FAQs posted along with link for online application.
• Candidates are advised to duly fill up the details sought in the online application form. Upon submission of the application form, application number shall be generated and ‘PDF’ copy of the application form shall be sent to the e-mail id of the candidates. Candidates are required to take a printout of the application form and retain the same after affixing a recent passport size photograph  (same as uploaded in the Online application) and self-attest the same.
• Candidates shortlisted for the written test will be required to present the downloaded PDF application form with photograph duly affixed, at the time of the written test. The candidates are also required to carry along with them one of the following (original and one photocopy) as a valid identity proof - Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voters ID or Passport at the time of written test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the written test. Any other Identity proof will not be accepted.
• Candidate can apply for ONE STATE only against this notification. If selected, the candidate can be placed in any location/plant in that state or if required at any other location in other states, which shall be solely at the discretion of the Corporation. No change in option will be entertained for any reason whatsoever. Candidates who submit/send more than one application will be disqualified.
• Applications sent manually by any mode including post/courier or in person will not be accepted.
• Incomplete online applications and applications not fulfilling the eligibility criteria would be “Rejected”.
• It is advisable to access the online application form from the place having a reasonably fair network connectivity so that application process is smooth.
• Applications submitted after 6th June’16 will not be considered.

List of Documents

Candidates, who qualify in the written test, would be required to submit self-attested copy of the following documents at the time of appearing for the Stage 2 tests/assessments of the selection process.

Print of PDF Application Form with photograph affixed and self attested.

• Age proof - Birth certificate or Matriculation/SSC/SSLC certificate.
• SSC/Matriculation pass certificate along with marksheet.
• HSC/12th  pass certificate alongwith marksheet, if applicable.
• ITI/NTC from NCVT pass certificate in the trade as detailed in Point No. 5, along with mark sheets.
• Caste certificate of SC/ST/OBC in the prescribed Govt. of India format .
• Disability certificate in respect of PWD candidates from the Competent Authority.
• Apprenticeship certificate, if applicable.
• Relieving letter in respect of Ex-Servicemen Candidates.
• Experience certificate from employer or proof of experience, if any.
• NOC from employer, if applicable.
• Proof of Domicile.

Note:

• Candidates are required to carry any one of the following valid Photo-ID cards in original with a photocopy– Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voters ID  or Passport while appearing at all stages of selection process.
• Candidates not submitting all the documents detailed in 7 (b) above, will not be permitted to appear for the Stage 2 tests.
