Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM) is a constituent unit of National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Details and instructions in respect of Advertisement No.10/2016 of this museum are furnished below for information of candidates.
Technical Assi stant „A‟(Civil) - 1 Post (Unreserved) in the Pay Scale of (PB-1) ` 5200-20200/- with GP ` 2800/- plus allowances as per Govt. of India rules. Total emoluments at start as on date at Bangalore will be `32,568/- per month. (Likely to be revised to (PB-2) `9300-34800/- with GP `4200/-).
Essential Qualification & Experience: First class 3 years Diploma course in Civil from a duly recognised Institution. One year relevant experience after obtaining Diploma.
Job Description : Repair and maintenance of buildings and installations and development of landscape and maintenance of science parks including all exhibits; over viewing of monitoring work, upkeeping work and general caretaking of the campus; preparation of estimates and tender papers, supervision of the construction/installation work, minor design work

Essential Qualification & Experience: Matriculation with certificate from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent in the trade of Electronics. One year relevant experience after obtaining the ITI certificate. If the ITI course duration is less than 2 years, 2 years relevant experience after obtaining the Certificate is essential.

Junior Stenographer – 1 Post (Unreserved) in the Pay Scale of (PB-1) ` 5200-20200/- with GP ` 2400/- plus allowances as per Govt. of India rules. Total emoluments at start as on date will be ` 28,870/-at Bangalore.
Essential Qualification & Experience: 12th Class/Higher Secondary pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University with speed of 80 w.p.m. in English Shorthand (dictation time 10 minutes and transcription time 50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi on Computer) and typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English (40 w.p.m. corresponds to 12000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer). One year relevant experience and knowledge of Hindi typing and computer operation is desirable. Typing speed test will be conducted on Computer only.
Job Description : Stenographic service; typing; photocopying; sending/receiving emails/fax messages; maintenance of files, ledgers, records etc. in computer; attending to telephone calls and any other work assigned by superiors from time to time

Lower Division Clerk – 1 Post (Unreserved) at District Science Centre, Kalaburagi in the Pay Scale of (PB-1) `5200-20200/- with GP ` 1900/- plus allowances as per Govt. of India rules. Total emoluments at start as on date will be `19,839/- at Kalaburagi.
Essential Qualification & Experience: 12th Class/ Higher Secondary pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University with English typing speed @ 35 w.p.m (35 w.p.m. corresponds to 10,500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word). Typing Speed test will be conducted on computer only. Knowledge of Hindi Typing is desirable.
Job Description : Typing; dispatch of daks, issue of tickets, photocopying, maintenance of files, preparation and processing of bills; making entries in various registers, ledgers etc.; handling purchase and stores; compilation of facts & figures for reports, statements etc. in computer; cash handling & cheque writing whenever required; any other work entrusted by superiors from time to time.

Age limit: 18-27 years as on 30/09/2016 relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/Ex-Servicemen as per GoI rules.
The duly filled up applications in prescribed format along with self attested copies of certificates & testimonials should reach the above address latest by 30.09.2016.
Only outstation SC/ST/Physically challenged/Ex-servicemen candidates called for test will be paid single IInd Class Train/Bus Fare (both ways) as per rules on production of proof of travel along with prescribed claim form which may be obtained from the administration section of this museum on their arrival for test.
Candidates should satisfy themselves that they meet all requisite requirements such as prescribed qualifications/technical qualifications, age, experience and valid caste certificate in latest prescribed formats as per standing govt. orders.
Candidates already working in Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector Undertakings and autonomous organizations must apply through proper channel. The incumbents are liable to be transferred to any Science Museum/Centre under the control of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) anywhere in India, they will be governed by the New Pension Scheme of Govt of India. NCSM provides facilities like Medical, LTC etc. as per Govt. of India rules.
Canvassing in any form and / or brining in any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
The museum reserves the right to cancel recruitment of all the posts or any of the above posts without assigning any reason.
