Applications are invited for the following posts purely on a temporary basis in a project- Global Adult Tobacco Survey – Second Rounds (GATS- 2) on or before 27th of January. The cost of personnel under GATS-2 is sponsored and funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Senior Programme Manager-‐ 1:
Role & Responsibility:
- All aspects of Programme Management:
- Technical support for survey- all aspects- including handling queries during the course of survey.
- Quality assurance in training and data collection of household and individual intervies.
- Data analysis and Report Writing
- Production of instruction manuals , guidelines, protocols with translations as necessary.
- Capacity to undertake extensive travel throughout the country and prepared to handle work under pressure.
- Any other responsibility may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications. Essentials :
- Masters in SocialSciences/Public Health/ Demography
- Minimum 4 years post qualification experience .
- Experience in household surveys- conducting & analyzing socio-economic, demographic and health Surveys.
- Proficiency in handling statistical and demographic software packages.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in English.
- Readiness to join at once- preferably in February 2016
Desirables:
- PhD degree (Awarded or submitted)Experience in social surveys for M&E – including developing quantitative and qualitative indicators.
- Experience in managing large training programmes.
Salaries-‐ Negotiable: Would depend on experience and fit for the requirements. Duration of Contract – 18 months:
Senior Programme Manager-‐ 2:

- Data analysis and Report Writing
- Capacity to undertake extensive travel throughout the country and prepared to handle work under pressure.
- Proposal development
- Postgraduate in SocialSciences/Public Health/ Demography/ Health or Medical Sciences
- Minimum 4 years post qualification experience .
- Experience in management of research, proposal writing, report writing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in English.
Desirables:
- PhD degree (Awarded or submitted)Experience in social surveys for M&E – including developing quantitative and qualitative indicators.
- Proficiency in handling statistical and demographic software packages.
Salaries-‐ Negotiable: Would depend on experience and fit for the requirements. Duration-‐ 18 months:
Research Officer (18 )
( 2 located in Mumbai-‐ others located in select cities distributed geographically across India ) .
Role and Responsibility:
- All aspects of Programme Management:
- Resource Person/Trainers role for training interviwers and master trainers
- Technical support for survey- all aspects- including handling queries during the course of survey.
- Quality assurance in training and data collection of household and individual intervies.
- Supporting in the arrangement of logistics for State visits / workshops.
- Supporting the preparation of reports and necessary documentation.
- Capacity to undertake extensive travel throughout two to three states and prepared to handle work under pressure.
- Any other responsibility may be assigned from time to time.
Essentials :
- Post graduate in Social Sciences / Public Health/ Statistics / or Post Graduate in these disciplines from a recognized University.
- Experience in working with household surveys.
- Readiness to begin work immediately- preferably from March 2016 and work in a short term contract of 6 to 9 months.
Desirables:
- Experience in handling statistical and demographic software packages.
- Two years experience in working with a large scale household survey.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in English.
- Knowledge of state language as relevant to place of posting ( two to three neighboring states)
Programme Manager – IT ( 1 +1) : Role and Responsibility:
- Managing all IT, Servers, Software’s, Equipment’s and Data Management related issues during the course of the survey.
- Close coordination with the agencies responsible for data collection.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the team leader.
- B.E./B. Tech/MCA/M.Sc. computer science or equivalent with minimum two years experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Desirables:
· Track record of working in the health/social sector
· Experience in large scale data processing, data warehousing and data mining technologies
· Knowledge of statistical packages like SPSS, STATA, etc.
Accountant: -‐1
Role and Responsibility:
· Managing all budget related matters.
· Ensuring timely release of payment to the agencies as per payment plan.
· Settlement of Utilization Certificate.
· Other financial matters.
· Any other responsibility relating to the survey that may be assigned from time to time.a
Qualifications:
Essentials :
B.Com degree from a recognized University with four years of experience in managing budgets in large-scale surveys.
Knowledge of TALLY and other accounting software.
Desirables:
Excellent oral & written communication skills in English.
Work experience in accounts management for projects- preferably in systems like is operational in TISS.
