General instructions for candidates:  

The post is Non-Government under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research which is an Autonomous body and will be governed by New Pension Scheme-2004 introduced by Government of India with other service conditions mutatis-mutandis and as amended from  time to time. The candidates already in Govt./ICAR service  will be governed by  Pension rules in vogue .

The post is temporary but likely to be continued  and transferable    anywhere in  India. Under CTRI/ICAR.

3.    Age Limit: : 18-30 Years.  Limits prescribed above will be relaxable as  follows:

• Up to a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to  SC/ST.
• Up to a maximum of 3 years in respect of  candidates belonging to  OBC ( Non-creamy layer).
• For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Candidates the Upper Age Limit will be relaxable upto a maximum of  10 years. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC (Non Creamy layer) who are covered under the PwD category will be eligible for grant of cumulative age relaxation under both the categories.
• Other bonafide  displaced persons/repatriates of Indian Origin/ Defence Services Personnel/ Border Security Force Personnel etc. are eligible as per the existing instructions of the Government of India on the subject.
• There  will be no age limit for ICAR employees.
• Age relaxation  is also applicable to Research Associates/Senior Research Fellows working in time bound ICAR Research Projects as per ICAR letter F.No. 19(25)/2011-Est.IV, dated 24.01.2012 for Technical Position, Technical Assistant (T-3) post only to the extent of their spell they were actually engaged as RAs/SRFs up to maximum of 16 years 3 months only on production of valid proof from their respective ICAR Institutes.

. Separate Application in the prescribed proforma for each Post Code should be  sent in separate envelopes. Sending more than one application  in one envelope will be rejected.  Enclosures  such as attested xerox copies of certificates viz.  Age Proof, Educational Qualifications,  SC/ST/OBC/PwD/XSM  may be attached  with the application form. The Photograph should be self attested . SC/ST/OBC/PwD Certificates    should be in the latest  prescribed format  issued by the  Govt. of India from time to time.

The crucial date for  determining the age limit  will be the closing date of receipt of application.

The envelops should be  superscribed  “ NAME OF THE POST APPLIED FOR________ POST

      Mobile No. and email id. must be clearly indicated on the envelope. Application should be addressed to

7.            Persons already  in employment can send advance copy of application directly  to    this Institute on or before the due date, failing which his/her application  for  the post(s) concerned would be rejected. However, the application through proper channel should also reach with in fifteen days after the closing date of receipt of applications. The original Demand  Draft should be enclosed to the advance copy  and Xerox  of the Demand Draft may be attached to the  proper channel copy.

8              The prescribed qualifications are minimum and any higher  qualification does not entail the candidate to claim any right of appointment.

Applications should be submitted in the prescribed proforma neatly typed/legibly hand written. The prescribed format of application (in MS-WORD Format) may also be downloaded from the Institute website www.ctri.org.in. Candidates,  before applying for the post, must satisfy themselves that they are eligible to apply and fulfil the criteria /essential qualification/age etc. prescribed for the post. If any information furnished by the candidates is found false at any stage his/her candidature will be cancelled.

The Application Fee is Rs.200/- for each Post Code. Application form must accompany with a Bank Draft of Rs.200/- (Rupees two  hundred only)  obtained   in favour of  “ICAR Unit -  CTRI, Rajahmundry”  payable at SBI, APP Mills Branch , Rajahmundry (Branch Code 1980). No other  means of payment will be accepted failing which the application will be rejected. The date of Bank Draft should not be earlier than the date of  publication of the advertisement in the Employment News and the same should be valid for a period of three months. Candidates must write his/her name and post code on the back side of the Bank Draft. The application fee is not refundable. 

ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES AND CANDIDATES BELONGING TO SC/ST/PwD CATEGORIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYMENT OF ANY FEE.  NO APPLICATION FEE EXEMPTION IS HOWEVER, AVAILABLE TO OBC CANDIDATES AND THEY ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE PRESCRIBED FEE IN FULL.

No TA will be paid to the candidates for appearing the  Written Test. However,  unemployed SC/ST candidates, who are  called for Test  will only be paid Second  Class Train/Bus fare by the shortest route on production of journey tickets and caste certificate.

No correspondence will be entertained regarding selection or appointment. Canvassing in any form shall be a disqualification. No telephone/mobile calls are entertained.

The Candidates  are required  to give a declaration stating whether he/she is related to any employee of the ICAR-CTRI, Rajahmundry or any  Institute of ICAR and if so, the details of relationship should be mentioned in the application.

  

The last date for receipt of application is 30 days (up to 5.00PM) from the date of advertisement in the  Employment News. For applications  posted in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Minicoy and Amin deevi Islands, States/Union Territories in the Northeastern Region, Ladakh Region of  J & K State, Sikkim, Panaji, sub-divisions of Chamba, Lahul and Spity District of Himachal Pradesh, the Last Date   is 45 days from the date of  the advertisement in Employment News. If the closing date happens to be a  Public Holiday, the next immediate working day will be treated as the closing date automatically .

Incomplete applications/ without Demand Draft/ applications received after closing date will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Applications received after due date for any reason including postal delay will  not be entertained.

The Director, ICAR-CTRI, Rajahmundry reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or  cancel   the recruitment  or re-advertise the posts,  without assigning any reason thereof. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
